To get around easily within Bucharest, you can use public transport that reaches all quarters of the capital: travel by metro (metrou), tram (tramvai), bus (autobus) and trolleybus (troleibuz), all operated by RATB. The metro is certainly the quickest way to reach Bucharest’s city centre and the main tourist attractions. Public transport runs from 05.00 until midnight.

In Bucharest there are also numerous taxi cooperatives, which allow you to reach the city’s old town even from the nearby Bucharest airport Otopeni-Henri Coanda.
